Moriani-plage is a seaside resort located at 40 kilometers from Bastia, in Haute-Corse. Moriani-Plage is the small seaside resort of Costa Verde attached to the commune of San Nicolao. This one is at the foot of the mountains of Castagniccia and it has one of the greatest sand beaches of Corsica. From Moriani Pasquale Paoli embarked in 1739 for its first exile.
Moriani Plage is part of the village of San Nicolao, located at 10 kilometers et composed of several small traditional hamlets. You can visit its many churches and vaults of which its parish church of the XVIIIème century, classified as historic building and also its superb cascade of "L'Ucelluline" which is located along the road of the Cornice (walk considered very beautiful, for its panoramic sight on the Eastern coast and its scents of the maquis).
The Moriani-beach is part of a 50 kilometre stretch of sand and the 'village' has quite a number of restaurants along the beach.
