Solenzara, famous sea-side resort, offers the warm atmosphere of a small summer paradise. Its marina, endowed the blue flag, is built right in the middle of the town.
Solenzara Marina is situated at the mouth of river of the same name. Port and starboard light towers mark the entrance. There are 450 berths, of which 150 are reserved for visitors. The services available are: water and electricity, travel lift, refuelling point (with unleaded petrol) crane, workshops, lifeboat and a diving club.
The harbour office is open every day in season from 7h to 21 hrs. Showers, toilets and hand basins are provided and a weather bulletin is displayed daily.
The village is situated 200 meters away and offers many services, including launderette, tourist office, ship chandlers, restaurants, car hire, food markets. Post office with cash dispenser, doctor and chemist.
Solenzara is endowed with a remarkable hinterland, in which architectural ans natural jewels distinguish themselves into series of magnificent backdrops.
It is part of the Côte des Nacres
Côte des Nacres is a territory with a human dimension stemming from the age-old practise of exchange between three villages: Solaro to the north, Sari-Solenzara in the centre and Conca to the south.
This special relationship between the sea and the mountains appears to be the founding item in this unique territory.
The Côte des Nacres' top feature is its abundance of natural areas where the scents of the scrub and sea spray abound at the heart of sites that are among Corsica's most captivating.
Sari is a picturesque village, located at an altitude of 450 m,. It provides the peace and quite of a site with sublime panoramic views from the « Penna » viewpoint, at the heart of the village and from « Monte Santu » overlooking the town. Stone church, fountains and small traditional dwellings... how could you not fall under the charm of this Corsica!
With a population of 1200 habitants, the municipality of Sari-Solenzara extend to a territory of 74 km² and it is formed by small valleys surrounded by hills and small mountains.
Superb village halfway up the mountain, Solaro harbours the advantages of a locality with character, which is among the island's most charming.
A favourite destination for hikers, the village is ideally located between the sea and the mountains.
